Press the + button (in the sidebar on Mac, at the bottom of the sidebar on iPad) and choose one of three options: add a question file you already have, create a quiz from a document, or create a quiz from a book. VES reads plain text, PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), and its own .json question files. On Mac you can also drag a file onto the window.

AI question generation runs entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence, so it needs a Mac with Apple silicon or a recent iPad, with Apple Intelligence turned on in System Settings. On devices that don't support it, those two options are disabled but everything else in VES works normally — you can still import ready-made question files.

The first time Apple Intelligence is enabled, the on-device model downloads in the background; give it a few minutes. Generating from a whole book takes a while — for long PDFs, use "Create a quiz from a book" and pick a page range (one chapter at a time is ideal).

VES detects the language of your document and writes questions in that language, regardless of the app's interface language. If a document mixes languages, it follows whichever dominates the opening pages.

Use the English / Español switch at the bottom of the sidebar, or open Settings. The change applies immediately.

After a few attempts on a file, VES tracks your accuracy per topic. That button preselects only the topics where you've been scoring under 70%, so your next session drills exactly those. Until there's enough history it's disabled.

Yes — scores, attempts, and history sync automatically through iCloud when both devices are signed into the same iCloud account. Question files themselves are not synced; add them on each device. Check the sync status in Settings.

Stats are stored in iCloud and on-device and should persist. If your sidebar file list is empty, add the files again with the + button — VES only remembers files it has been given permission to open. Question files are never deleted by VES.

Your progress is saved continuously. Reopen VES and you'll be offered the option to resume where you left off, or discard the attempt.

A simple JSON file with a title and a list of questions. Each question has the question text, four options, the index of the correct option, and an optional topic. The easiest way to see the format is to create a quiz in VES from a document, then open the saved file from the app's storage folder.

Settings → Clear All Stats removes all scores and history (on this device and in iCloud). Removing the app deletes everything else. Your original documents are never modified or removed.

La primera vez que se activa Apple Intelligence, el modelo se descarga en segundo plano; dale unos minutos. Generar desde un libro entero tarda: para PDF largos, usa "Crear un examen desde un libro" y elige un rango de páginas (lo ideal es un capítulo a la vez).

VES detecta el idioma de tu documento y escribe las preguntas en ese idioma, independientemente del idioma de la interfaz. Si un documento mezcla idiomas, sigue el que predomina en las primeras páginas.

Usa el selector English / Español al pie de la barra lateral, o abre Ajustes. El cambio se aplica al instante.

Tras unos intentos con un archivo, VES registra tu precisión por tema. Ese botón preselecciona solo los temas en los que estás por debajo del 70%, para que tu próxima sesión repase exactamente esos. Hasta que haya suficiente historial, está desactivado.

Sí: puntuaciones, intentos e historial se sincronizan automáticamente mediante iCloud cuando ambos dispositivos usan la misma cuenta de iCloud. Los archivos de preguntas no se sincronizan; añádelos en cada dispositivo. Consulta el estado de la sincronización en Ajustes.

Las estadísticas se guardan en iCloud y en el dispositivo y deberían conservarse. Si la lista de archivos de la barra lateral está vacía, vuelve a añadir los archivos con el botón +: VES solo recuerda los archivos para los que se le ha dado permiso de apertura. VES nunca borra archivos de preguntas.

Tu progreso se guarda continuamente. Vuelve a abrir VES y te ofrecerá continuar donde lo dejaste, o descartar el intento.

Un archivo JSON sencillo con un título y una lista de preguntas. Cada pregunta tiene el texto, cuatro opciones, el índice de la opción correcta y un tema opcional. La forma más fácil de ver el formato es crear un examen en VES desde un documento y abrir el archivo guardado desde la carpeta de almacenamiento de la app.

Ajustes → Borrar estadísticas elimina todas las puntuaciones y el historial (en este dispositivo y en iCloud). Eliminar la app borra todo lo demás. Tus documentos originales nunca se modifican ni se eliminan.
